The AKB
What we do
The AKB is the largest and leading student lead finance society in Germany. Deeply rooted within the University of Mannheim, we provide a bridge between students and companies. To do so we work together with a broad range of the most successful firms. We are covering Investment Banking and Private Equity, but also Consulting, Venture Capital and Fintech. Besides that, we also provide a community for ambitious students to exchange expertise and train their skills in M&A, sales and trading and more.
The AKB is solely lead by students from the University of Mannheim. While around 15 second year students are leading the society, its projects and teams, more than 50 first year students are working on their execution. Due to the Universities Bachelors program, which sees final years students head abroad, our team changes in an annual cycle.
Organization
Our History
the AKB was founded in 1984, by a group of stock markets enthusiasts. Since then we came a long way, producing a long list of successful alumni. The recent years saw the AKB growing in an increased speed. With the introduction of our projects AK Advisoy, AKB Asset Management, Women in Business and Business Champions we developed a broad range of offerings for diverse interests.
Even with our significant progress we are far from stopping. We are always eager to improve our partner network, offer new projects and trips to fully cover all branches of the business world.
